French Military Uniforms

You may have come across this web site (if not, and you are an avid war gamer, then be prepared to waste an hour or so looking at all the pictures here).

The Vinkhuijzen Collection of Military Uniforms.

This is one of the New York Public Library digital collections and it is chock full of historical color plates depicting military uniforms of the world.  Over 30,000 plates!  This link below is to the French uniforms.  Scroll down to the bottom to see the French Colonies links that have the majority of the Armée d’Afrique uniforms (Legion, Zouave, Turco, Spahi, etc.)
