10th Day of Christmas: 10 Pulp Illustrations

Here are 10 pulp illustrations featuring the Foreign Legion.  They are mostly from the men’s adventure magazines of the 1950’s and 60’s and most became cover art for various titles.  The bonus picture above was from Adventure Magazine but I just edited out the title and words from the cover image.

  1. Eugene Winston Olivier says:

“The Twelve Days of Christmas” is a fantastic idea. i can’t wait for the rest of them.
I used to have over a hundred Legion paper-backs and many pictures from Men’s magazines etc. Of those attached i recognised one from a LOOK AND LEARN kid’s comic-type pf publication that featured the Legion, or was it Camerone? and one picture puzzles me. Number 7. Who is holding the Lebel ? if that is what it is. Not the Legionnaire nor the girl. Is it hanging there in the tree?
